LATVIAN FUSION STEAK BAKED POTATOES WITH CRANBERRY SAUCE.
Mmmm this weekend I made an absolutely delicious dinner I have combined modern and Latvian cuisine in one and its actually a recipe that has been used in my family for years. It look good it smells good and it tastes incredible A must dish to make if you want to impress someone This serves 2 people.
Food Recipes > LATVIAN FUSION STEAK BAKED POTATOES WITH CRANBERRY SAUCE. (Ingredients )
You will need the following ingredients:
For the cranberry sauce :
1 tsp of honey
2 tbsp of cranberry jam
25 gr of butter
100 ml of brandy ( can also use whiskey or rum)
For the potatoes:
4 medium potatoes
Salo ( russian pork fat)
2 cloves of garlic
For the steak:
6 cloves of garlic
100 ml of olive oil
1 wedge of lemon
Salt & Pepper
To make this dish you will need to do the following:
Step 1 : Marinate the meat for at least 1 hour. Cut the garlic into small pieces, add olive oil, lemon juice, salt and pepper and marinate the meat in it.
Step 2 : Prepare the potatoes. Cut potatoes on the top and make holes in the potatoes. Place a piece of Salo ( pork fat) into each potato, add half of garlic clove. add salt and pepper. Place them into the oven for 1 hour at 200 degrees.
Step 3: Prepare your cranberry sauce just before you fry the meat. Put all the ingredients into a pan and cook for 5-10 min. Leave aside to cool down.
Step 4 : Cook your meat. If you are doing it on the open fire, it will cook really fast. Depending on how you like your steak, I made it medium rare, so it took around 3-5 min. You can also use your stove and make steaks on the frying pan in the kitchen.
Step 5: Serve your meat with potatoes and cranberry sauce. Enjoy
